Our Mission

Grandview is a community of Christ followers whose purpose is to equip and encourage one another to grow in our relationship with God, loving him completely, others sacrificially and reaching out to a hurting world. (Ephesians 4, Matthew 28)

What Is "Up, In, Out"?
Grandview believes that balance in the church and individual life is necessary for spiritual health.  The Up, In, Out triangle reminds us of the three key elements of this balance:

UP -
Directs us to develop our relationship with God.

IN- Directs us to develop our relationship with one another.

OUT- Directs us to develop our relationships with the world of people God loves.

Our Background

Grandview was born from a vision for a brand new church, given to the leaders of First Baptist Church in Waterloo. They were passionate about establishing a new church in southeast Kitchener. The first service was in October of 1969, at Grand River Collegiate, Grandview's first "home" for nearly four years. The church began with 54 founding members. In the early 1970's, God provided land just outside of Kitchener. The original property, with adjoining pond had an old two-storey log farmhouse. In 1973, Grandview began the first phase to construct a new facility. The second phase followed in 1984, and included the worship centre. The current facility was completed in 2003.
