Sunday Service Registration

Registration Process

Our two services meet in-person at 9:00am and 11:00am. Please note that you will need to register each week for services you will be attending. The link to register is below. You will need to register each person in your family group individually. All family members or guests need to be registered so that we can keep within the worship centre capacity. Please note- you will receive an email response to confirm your registration. If you know of someone who does not have access to, or a comfort level with, technology, we would encourage you to help them register or advise them to call the church for assistance.

Grandview Kids is running during both services for Jk-Grade 6. Toddler-Preschool class (ages 1-4) is available at 11:00am only.

You will be asked to answer a pre-screening set of health questions as a part of the registration process.

These questions will be as follows:

  1.  Are you currently experiencing one or more of the following symptoms that are new or worsening? Symptoms should not be chronic or related to other known causes or conditions. Fever and/or chills, cough or barking cough (croup), shortness of breath, decrease of loss of smell or taste. For adults 18 years or older: Fatigue, lethargy, malaise and/or muscle aches/joint pain. 3. Has a doctor, health care provider, or public health unit told you that you should currently be isolating (staying at home)? This can be because of an outbreak or contact tracing.

  4. In the last 10 days, have you tested positive on a rapid antigen test or a home-based self-testing kit?

If you have since tested negative on a lab-based PCR test, answer “No”.

  5. In the last 10 days, have you or someone you live with been identified as a “close contact” of someone who currently has COVID-19 AND advised by a doctor, healthcare provider or public health unit to self-isolate?

  6. In the last 10 days, have you received a COVID Alert exposure notification on your cell phone?

If you have since tested negative on a lab-based PCR test, answer “NO”.

  7. Is anyone you live with currently experiencing any new COVID-19 symptoms and/or waiting for test results after experiencing symptoms?

    • Children (under 18 years old): fever and/or chills; cough or barking cough; shortness of breath; decrease or loss of taste or smell; nausea, vomiting and/or diarrhea

    • Adults (18 years and over): fever and/or chills; cough or barking cough; shortness of breath; decrease or loss of taste of smell; tiredness; muscle aches.

    • If the individual experiencing symptoms received a COVID-19 vaccination in the last 48 hours and is experiencing only mild fatigue, muscle aches, and/or joint pain that only began after vaccination, answer “No”.

We are asking that anyone who answers ‘yes’ to these questions not to register. Please stay home and enjoy our online worship gathering.

Please note the following before registering:

  • Please use caution if you are a member of a vulnerable age group. We strongly encourage those with a compromised immune system to stay home at this time and enjoy the online worship gathering.

  • Masks: Due to the local government’s mandate, masks need to be worn throughout your time in the building (entry, throughout the service, and until you have exited the building). At all services, we will adhere to public health’s recommendations regarding exemptions:

    • Children under the age of five.

    • People with a medical reason for not wearing a mask (breathing challenges, hearing, asthma, anxiety)

As a church family, we are committed to helping those with accessibility challenges and medical conditions that prohibit wearing a mask. Please make yourself known to the greeters outside the building and they will assist you in entering.

  • Everyone joining us must continue to follow public health advice, including practicing physical distancing, wearing a face covering, washing hands frequently and thoroughly, and avoiding touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.

  • The screens in the atrium will broadcast the service if you need a spot to take a restless child.

  • No offering will be taken during the worship gathering so please continue to use the online giving options. A box to deposit offering envelopes will also be available at the exit doors as you leave.

  • The church has been cleaned and sanitized prior to your arrival and will be cleaned and sanitized after you leave. Grandview has chosen to utilize a fogger, used in cinema applications, in combination with a cleaning chemical called Vital Oxide to disinfect areas of the church building that are in use. Vital Oxide is a hospital grade disinfectant that is not hazardous and is proven to kill the coronavirus. We will also continue to frequently wipe down all contact surfaces and are using a detailed checklist to ensure that our enhanced cleaning measures are being consistently executed.

Arriving at the church

  • Because entry to the church takes longer than in pre-COVID days, you are encouraged to give yourself extra time in order to be seated by the beginning of the service. The doors will open at 8:40am for the first service and 10:40am for the second service.

  • Entry doors to the building are at each end of the atrium and will be clearly marked. Exit doors will be the main doors from pre-COVID days.

  • Please make sure that your mask is on when entering the building.

  • Please use the hand sanitizer station (at each door to the sanctuary) before entry.

  • Ensure that you are maintaining appropriate physical distancing while moving within the building.

  • The ushers will direct you to a seat in an open row. In order to fit everyone into the sanctuary, we are asking you to be flexible and sit where the usher directs you. Please go directly to your seat and remain there for the duration of the service.

Leaving the church

  • Please leave your mask on until you have left the building.

  • Ensure that you continue to maintain appropriate physical distancing while exiting through the sanctuary and atrium, and keep moving so that others can exit behind you.

  • As you exit the building, please keep moving away from the doors so that those exiting behind you will be able to keep the appropriate physical distance.

  • For our health, and our witness to our neighbours, please continue to maintain appropriate physical distancing as you connect with each other in the parking lot.

We are looking forward to seeing many of you in person on Sunday!
