Justice & Compassion

Justice & Compassion Partners
Christianity is unique in that God’s mercy is shown through His justice. There is no setting aside of justice to make room for compassion. Sin and injustice were punished at the cross of Christ and it’s only because the penalty of sin was satisfied through Christ’s sacrifice that God extends His mercy to undeserving sinners who look to Him for salvation. Jesus calls us to seek justice and be compassionate disciples. Seeking justice means that we advocate for the vulnerable and against systems of this world that seek to oppress those same individuals (Isaiah 1:17).
Compassion demands that we care for orphans, mothers and prisoners in their practical and spiritual need (James 1:27). Grandview Church does this by supporting and tangibly partnering with Christian organizations that serve vulnerable people both in the KW region and globally. We hope to demonstrate and share Christ’s love with our community by meeting basic needs, serving joyfully, and building lasting relationships.
