Ministry Vision & Goal
The vision of Grandview's Arabic Ministry is to see the gospel effectively communicated to the growing population of Arabic-speaking peoples in Kitchener and Waterloo region and to establish, as God allows a thriving congregation of believers under the direction of Grandview Church.
The goal is to create a presence of a missionary Church speaking in Arabic, preaching about the Lord Jesus Christ and the good news in the region of Kitchener and Waterloo.
About the Pastor
Pastor Geryes served about 2 years in Lebanon with a mission organization called ‘Heart for Lebanon.’ This organization was involved in the visitation and care of Syrian refugees. After a fruitful ministry season, the Lord led him and his wife, Abeer, to the country of Brazil. They served for 3 years, launching a ministry among Muslims on the border of Brazil and Paraguay. Amidst persecution, the mission organization asked them to consider leaving upon threat of their lives. Geryes and Abeer persevered for a number of months more, but eventually accepted a church planting role in Germany with the Christian and Missionary Alliance denomination. While serving in Germany for the last 6 years, the Lord has blessed them with two children. Currently, they are doing evangelistic ministry in Copland, Germany and are looking forward to joining the Grandview Church family to lead our Arabic church into the future.

Ministry Meetings
We gather every other week on Sundays at 12:30pm. Please contact Pastor James for details on the schedule.
The Start of the Ministry
The Arabic church was initiated to share the good news of the gospel among Arabs in Waterloo region. In partnership with FEB Central church planting, and under the leadership of Grandview Church, through the Lord's timing, a decision was made to call Pastor Geryes to lead the church. We are patiently and excitedly waiting for them to join us here in Kitchener from Germany. We hold prayer gatherings and times of outreach every other week on Sundays after the second service.
