Passed peacefully with family by his side at Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at the age of 79. Beloved husband of Donna (nee Bishop) for over 57 years. Loving father of Charissa Redlich (Mark), Tim Fowler (Laurel), Dan Fowler (Pam) and Paul Fowler. Proud Papa of Joanna (Michael), Sarah, Rebekah, Noah, Ethan and Christopher. Son of the late Donald and Virginia Fowler. Dear brother of Steven Fowler (Cheryl).

Born in southern Indiana, Stan moved to Indianapolis and then to Brownsburg, IN. He attended Brownsburg High School, graduating in 1964 as Valedictorian and earned a National Merit Scholarship to attend Purdue University where he completed a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and graduated in 1968.

He completed a Master of Theology degree at Dallas Theological Seminary and later earned a Doctor of Theology degree at Wycliffe College, Toronto School of Theology at University of Toronto. Stan was a pastor, teacher, and author known to his colleagues as a "theologian in service of the church". He served as pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Bloomington, Indiana (1972-1977) and then at Runnymede Baptist Church in Toronto (1978-1985). Stan's passion was teaching and in 1987 he took on a full-time teaching role at Central Baptist Seminary in Toronto which later became Heritage Theological Seminary in Cambridge, Ontario. He retired in 2018 but continued to teach as Professor Emeritus until 2021 when health issues prevented him from continuing. Stan and Donna have lived in the KW/Cambridge area since 1993.

Many thanks to the compassionate staff at Cambridge Memorial Hospital for caring for Stan during his last days. Special thanks to the personal support workers who faithfully came daily to support Stan with personal care over the past four years since his stroke. You are greatly appreciated.
