March 8 - April 5
Many people focus on the sufferings of Christ over Easter, and of course, it's important to remember what He went through for us. But the New Testament minimizes the description of His sufferings to focus on what the cross has achieved for us.
Over this Easter season, we will be looking at Luke 23, and following the events of the trial, death, burial and resurrection of Christ, but we will also take time to examine key NT themes that teach us what the cross has achieved. Glorious truth held in words like substitution, propitiation, redemption and justification. Get these words into your soul, and you will be even more amazed at what Christ achieved for you through 3 hours of Calvary darkness and an empty tomb.
